Citrus Noir subverts the lightness of the citrus genre by grounding it in darkness. The opening is electric — a sharp, almost aggressive burst of Calabrian bergamot and cold-pressed Sicilian lemon that fades quickly, as all citrus does, but not before leaving a trail of grapefruit zest in the air. What follows is unexpected: black pepper and cardamom introduce a spicy, almost masculine tension before the base reveals itself — a smoky, earthy vetiver from Haiti, softened by oakmoss and a whisper of ambergris.
